The hints are useless, it always show the obvious things that ive already known and not what i currently need to do with my items to proceed. Its as if theyre asking for ads all the time. The clues are so subtle, almost all the time i dont know what im supposed to be doing with the random items i found. Theres no flow to the plot or the puzzles . Boring experience. Unsettling. I loved it. Still not sure what happened. Some small bugs when moving away from an object, but nothing that tapping again doesn't fix.. Best escape puzzle game. Esp if you hate being restricted to one room and like to snoop) i don't stay engaged in story lines either but this story line is great and not annoying, it's creepy and spooky but you can play at night peacefully. You have to use logic and be creative to finish puzzles, from liquefying gold- pouring into a mold to get create a key to open a drawer, to the ocassional slide puzzles. I never review apps, but this is THE app for escape games and I've downloaded 100+. Rusty lake in general like the big universe it is might be the best piece of fiction i have ever stumbled upon. Not only it is extremely entertaining and not so easy, it makes total sense! Nothing in this game is placed without a meaning or just randomly. And not to talk about lore, beacuse it is one of the deepest and calculated story i ever saw! Im happy i get to not only see the story but be part of it! I love it really much and i can proudly say it one if not the best game series of all tim2. Honest is the best scape room game I have ever played, it's amazing, I love how all the chapters are connected, that makes it more interesting and fun!!.
The game is good don't get me wrong. But the instructions are often times unclear. Like when I get a hint, I still don't know when to do and I'm unable to get another hint.. I don't think I've ever played a game this extravagant and immersive in any of the phones I've had. I had to use the guides every now and then (esp as I was pressured into collecting all the achievements lol), but other than that, each game had me twisting and bending my mind in all the good ways. The puzzles were a good exercise and the graphics were topnotch. Can't thank Evelien/Gab Smolders enough for introducing this game to me through her gameplay. Wish I could play the Hotel one too.. Challenging, but that's what makes it fun. It gives that eerie liminal space vibe, and the artwork is nice. Looking forward to the next game :). There's a glitch with the mobile version of this game and I can't find anywhere to report it. ***spoiler*** (sorry but I need to spoil this to report the issue) . Basically in the seasons game, when you have to dig the flower out to get the seed, the seed just vanished, which made it impossible to complete the game. I had to reset the whole thing - which is really infuriating because I was really close to the end - and the same thing happened again, this time I checked my inventory wasn't full..
Tried out only the lake level. Gameplay was interesting and the sketchbook design drawing style was nice but was abit scary for me. No warning before the game and i freaked out when i suddenly fished up a dead body and had to cut it open to get worms for fish bait. And growing a scary tree to summon a black shadow to pass the level was not it for me its graphic in terms of gore and other levels are way worse. Gameplay was nice but please give gore warnings/ make the gore less graphic!!. It should have Google games saving. I had almost all achievements and lost my phone, now I'm at zero again.. I really enjoyed this game until I played the Seasons level and was at part 3. I got to the part where in the game you have to kill the bird. Anyone who is sensitive to animal/pet death should not play this game. I found it gross and unnecessary to add that into the game play.. i am just here to say i love this game and i finally finished one puzzle ( the mill) it actually took me 3dazs to finish the lvl great game .
If horror & gore is not your thing, I don't recommend this game. As someone who is more sensitive to sound, I got through this game by lowering the volume. I don't usually like horror, but I finished it out of curiosity & it's a pretty addictive game. The creepyness & the mystery really got to me, I really like this game. Original, unique, different story, I don't think I've ever come across anything like this.. I really like this game. It's great for when I need to take my mind off things. The art is also incredible. However, I have noticed that the game will slow down my phone or the app will crash, close itself down and even close down other apps running in the background like Spotify. Still a good game, could just be typical mobile game issues. Would definitely reccomend.. Really fun puzzles, but the hints can be somewhat vague or unhelpful, but it was all understandable on the second try. Very interesting storyline!. Really good, the only issue I have is that the hints are way too "general", I often found myself watching the video walkthrough on YT rather than use the hint system. Otherwise it's a pretty solid puzzle game.
It was an interesting puzzle game not so easy nor so hard but the one which will make no one feel bore. The storyline always took me to the question : "What will happen next?" which further increased my interest to the game. So thanks to the developers and "please make more games like this". I am waiting for them . Ever since "The past within", I've grew a taste for Rusty Lake's games. Fortunately for me, soon after I installed this brilliant collection, I fell sick for a few days and had the perfect excuse to completely submerge myself in this world of mystery. Beware, it becomes an obsession!. this is the best game ever, it's so morbid but so beautiful, and the storyline is so awesome, well done. 1. Has an official walkthrough video 2. Free 3. Can play multiple chapter in one app 4. Sudden jump scare 5. Such a scary plot though I don't really understand.
It's great- so so great. Highly recommend if you don't mind a tad bit of violence. The chapters were really hard, but you'll get through in the end.. Fantastic compilation of perfectly designed (and executed) room escape games with a delightfully twisted (even whimsical at moments) overarching world that I, personally, found to be reminiscent of a Roald Dahl story. Several possibilities and Easter Eggs in each level allow for extended replayability. Well worth the "no ads" price of admission!! Can't wait to play the newer games in the in the series~~! . Its really a good game but it might be scary for younger kids (or people who are easily scared) because it has a creepy shadow demon so its a good game if you dont have many fears or just arent afraid of shadow demons. Loved every part of this game. Its beautiful designed and smooth running make it such a pleasure to play. The story's are always interesting and keep you hooked from the beginning!.
I reallysuperduperextrato the maxlove rustylake games from its simple controls, hard but solvable puzzles, and its LOREEE.. awesome game. one of the best games I've downloaded in a long while. the only ads are when you want a hint. 30 seconds, thats it. sometimes the hints are not as helpful as id hope but i like that they also don't just give you the answer either. good, challenging game. definitely recommend.. I've been a fan for years! I finally decided to play all of the games in order tho and had so much fun! Truly an incredible game.. Wow, I was really blown away by this game! Amazing story telling, rough puzzles, and I was genuinely scared a few times!! I really hope they continue the story!.

Gotta admit that I had fun while playing it, but I'll confirm that this game had me going crazy because of it's difficulty in some levels. But I'm fine now (still recovering). Phenomenal escape game! I'm blown away by the quality, particularly for a free mobile game. Challenging but solvable puzzles. No forced ads (the only time you have to watch an ad is if you want a hint). I will be playing all of their games, even the ones that aren't free. It's worth it!.

I'm on the "Theatre" part and already trying to put together some kind of a timeline or get the complete story on what on Earth is going on in this universe . I absolutely love this game! The details are so cool. people may say the clues are not helpful but they have low IQ. It's the best game! I'm not a fan of jump scares, but for this game I love it, it makes the game more meaningful and more exciting!.
Loving the game. I paid to have ads removed for better experience and it has been worth it. So surprised how things are connected and I'm only through Ch 4. One critique is.. instead of asking me if I got all the achievements I wish it stated it clearly which ones I got and explained the achievements/what I did to achieve them. I guess it encourages second time game play. It took me till now to see black n white achievements have not been met, colored ones have. Thank you for the game.. This is one of the best escape room type games I've played. Really cool style of graphics and I like the scary vibes. I hope more chapters will follow soon!. I had to get used to the 'look' of the game, it looks a bit strange. But i got into this game soooo fast and soooo heavy. Now i finished it and find myself completely lost in a void. XD Craving more! The mysteries and storyline kept me interested and the puzzles made me really think outside the 'cube' . Love it!. Found it very easy to play and was very good when it came to storyline. I feel like this game is mainly for deep thinkers and for those who are good with scary stuff. Was a bit shocked by some "demonic" scenes (one star rates say that lol) but I was able to get over it easily. If you don't like scary, or depression depictions, wouldn't recommend for you, but again this game was a perfect fit for me..
Best of its kind. Love the puzzles. Engaging storyline. Surrealist styling. I obsessed over it and finished all the games in a couple of days.. Perfection everything about it Although I'll give you a hint about something, if you want to unlock some achievements, you need to play the other level, not just this level because it WANTS to show you lore also try and watch some of rusty lakes trailers, it has some interesting hint for puzzles. Love this series and I used to download the individual games before the collection so I really love the collection for the original free games! I'm an avid follower of the games (not so much the in community games just the apps) so I really have no complaints.. It's a very confusing and pleasant experience. Playable offline and with no to little ads. The puzzles are brain racking and the world it's set in, it's story, is thrilling and aginatif. A well deserved 10/10..
I love the Rusty Lake games. The drawings, the puzzles, the weirdness, the eerie feel. And the difficulty level is brilliant, really makes you think! Thank you so much for these!. Full of bugs. Not ready for mobile. I'm stuck in harveys box because I can't finish the comb challenge. I even made use of walk-throughs to double check.. I realy love it it's got a good story, fantastic puzzles and the only down side is that there should be more to enjoy thanks for the great game rusty lake I hope you can expand I do enjoy your games.. This game is quite simple but fun. Personally I think most people struggle with this is because they overthink it to much. If you don't it starts to become more and more easier and easier to understand the storyline of each ones. This is probably the best puzzle game. It's so mysterious and diffrent I love it..
Seriously, the best. I'm always blown away by how great the Rusty Lake games are. Perfect balance of story and challenge with great mechanics. I keep coming back for replays every year or so. Great work, RL team!. This is one great app I'd recommend for puzzle lovers. Tbh, finding it is one of the best things in this year for me. I'm so happy and look forward to more from Rusty Lake.. I don't like escape games but i love this one....when you think that it can't get better than this,it does..... I can't stop playing.. The game is nice as you accomplished the current chapter the difficulty rises. The story plot is nice I'd like to have another of this series..
OMG its soooo nice... i love the story so so much. I started with the cube called birthday and honestly got a bit nervous when I saw this rabbit from this hole in the door hahaha... You need to think about it, but it makes sense at the end! It all looks like a cartoon, which I relly like too! Keep on this amazing work, very well done!. Great games. The puzzles are hard enough to have actually been very enjoyable. I love how interconnected everything is, and certain puzzles that require knowledge of past games to complete. there were a couple puzzles I hated, one of which being the slider painting puzzle in case 23 I believe. All in all, the atmosphere and tone of the games is the best part, and I will be buying every subsequent game that Rusty Lake puts out from this point forward. the lack of IAPs and ads are a big plus too. Glitchy from the start, after using a telescope, I couldn't back out to the room, there was no way to go back or anything.. by far one of the best games I've ever played. this is the app that got me hooked on Rusty Lake. some of the levels were a bit hard but it's easy to find walk-throughs! it's got multiple levels and such a fun but scary storyline.
Overall good game but one minor problem. Please don't make it flash black when you're swithcing direction, it feels like an epilepsy trigger and is just overall annoying. Stick to just no animation at all, like the dark dome series..
