ePSXe, there isn’t a gamer in the world who doesn’t enjoy their favorite game with the help of a gamepad; the game console is gaining remarkable popularity. Android app developers have created ePSXe, a Sony PlayStation game console emulator for mobile devices. This application provides users high compatibility with console games and excellent game sounds.
On one screen, you can play both single and multiplayer simultaneously. To speed up the game, the user can choose one of the visualization types; even OpenGL has been added by the mobile device specification. While playing the game, you can use the touchscreen gamepad or connect any external joystick, both wireless and wired. Additional devices are configured automatically.
On-screen buttons can be selected from several categories. The ePSXe app supports Android TV and 3D broadcasting. Multiplayer can play using the local network of the same Wi-fi router or via Wifi-direct. The only negative is that the application does not contain pre-installed games; you must install them by downloading them from various sources.
Works excellent on my nvidia shield pro and my galaxy tablets! (Tip, dont use an hdd no matter how fast it is. Theres a reading delay and it force closes the app when initiating first read. Using an ssd solves this problem) End result: This app works extremely well. If it doesnt, then your specs aren't to par or you doing something wrong. (I wish they would do a ps2 emulator for android as well). Best easy emulator didn't have to deal with bios or all that other. Push simulate, than got rom and played. It's not possible to upload my memory card data to another device. I'm trying to upload it to Dropbox but it's not working. kind of disappointing for a payed app. I just brought this and it's one of the best Ps1 Emulator I have downloaded and I Highly Recommend downloading it and it's wroth the money. Android TV OS doesn't have Files App, so I want a option to choose Media Directory in Base Folder Option..
I had always used this emulator on desktop, so I don't regret buying the android app. Unfortunately, the dev completely abandoned desktop to focus on android. It's alright, but there are better (and free) apps now, like duckstation, and that dev doesn't abandon one platform for another. I prefer them these days.. This game works as a normal emulator, and there are only a few flaws (those don't effect gameplay drastically). And there are even cheats and great options. Keep in mind; you must download ROMs to play specific games!. Great app. Quick question, the screen only flips one way when playing a game, is there any way to make it flip the other way as to have better controls when playing as my headphones get in the way.. Had a bit trouble extracting the bin zip, but once I figured it out, everything went smooth. I can't believe I'm playing my PS1 games on my phone. Thank you and please don't fix things that aren't broke. Everything is great..
I've had some recent troubles with custom mapping and button size, when I change games, the controls are sometimes different or not on the screen at all. Only with custom placement has this been an issue and after the update to the android 7.0 os. Amazing!!! it's an understatement, I have some much fun playing my childhood favourite games, highly recommending to Gamer, old or young. My setup is Oppo X5 and Razer V2 pad it's as much fun as PS5. Major audio latency issues that just crashes the game when adjusted, and no ability to fine tune controls or graphical setting in-session.. Doesn't work. Missing bio files. Will not load any games. I've re-download this many times and re-download all the games. It will not work it keeps compressing my files to my SD card then will not load just says error. Very disappointed.
Was great, but now i can't add any games. I assumed there was a limit so removed some, but I still couldn't, so uninstall the app, incase it was a glitch and now I can't install any at all. Edit: Turns out I just didn't understand how to use it. My bad. Great app.. Great easy to use PS1 emulator, takes a small amount of setting up but seems to play just like the real thing, for better and for worse! No artifacting or issues so far. I'm using a PS4 controller and it feels like being a kid again, awesome stuff.. I'm very happy with this emulator so far so good. Able to play harvest moon back to nature because of this.. I might be biased since I exclusively play turn based strategy and RPG games with it, but it's a great piece of software. Haven't encountered many problems with it. I sometimes have the feeling that I can't quite trust the input. Some quick time events of the games I play were harder to perform than I remember it to be on console. Might just be me. Doesn't work. Any attempt to use just crashes the app. I believe this app has been sabotaged by the developer, most likely in exchange for money.. Great emulator all around a few extra steps it explains well in the help guide with extra answers on redit if you need the help absolutely love it. Savour I bought Hogs Of War on steam it wouldn't run I was really upset and disappointed I loved the game so got this and downloaded the file and was able to play without fuss or hassle I have been awake all night playing Hogs of War it's currently 9am oooopsy lol I'm extremely happy definitely worth getting couldn't recommend it enough right time for some sleep very content . It works great you just need a side app to extract the ROM file from your sd card they have free ones on the play store. It also lets you download every cheat code to the game without closing the app very easy to use runs smooth five stars for sure..
Very smooth gameplay. I hook my phone up to my television with an USB-C to HDMI dongle, which turns my phone to Samsung Dex mode. Bust out the Xbox controller and now I got all the classic action I could ever want. Smooth emulation, gives me less trouble in general than even N64 emulation. I'd recommend this to anybody.. Controller support??? Says it but no where in do see you controller show up if it's connect iether by cord or Bluetooth I only got the em ulator to okay on controller. No longer need this now that I have my ps2 again, BUT before I uninstall I just want to thank you so much for this app!! I had this for many years and it's better than any other app I have downloaded! Definitely worth the money buying this folks!!!!!!! Has five stars but it deserves 10!!!!. This emulator has me reliving my childhood! Is to use for someone who isn't tech savvy to get it going too.
No issues, just flawless. Could be a bit more user friendly for more inexperienced users though, as I can see how they could easily make mistakes. Maybe an optional indepth tutorial.. Highly customizable emulator that's also really intuitive. Good performance too, and it has some aesthetic skins you can choose. Also, it displays cover art! Awesome emulator.. This is an amazing Playstation 1 emulator, it runs most of the games I played on it with little to no problems, it has savestates and built in cheats, and you can use controllers too. This is the best all in one Playstation emulator, I highly recommend it to anyone who has a few bucks to spend. However the main problem I have with this emulator is for whatever reason when I close the app for any reason when im playing a game, when I try to resume play it instantly crashes. (Might be my phone). Really had a tough time with this because of legislation that changed file access permissions, but it seems to be up and running nicely now. This is a great app. Not only is it easy to use and user friendly, I'm also able to decompress roms for other systems as well with ease. I will hang on to this app for a long time.. I love this app an all, but I can't play it with my backbone. If I could, can you tell me how.. I am so glad that i found best ps1 emulator that can allow gaming controller to play any games without problems and thanks gosh for state slots! I will always use this app for my childhood games that I haven't play in long awhile! . I have lost my savestate since I update in to new version. Now I couldn't get back my savestate. I tried to contact support center and follow the instruction but i still couldn't get that.
Sickest bestest and I just can't stop drooling. My wife is enjoying the moisture and the size of my huge EGO. The dude should update the app because it is one of the best, the opengl works perfekt and the emulator never stucks or gives any error, thd graphics are cool it gives the vibe of the 90s its just one of the best emulator can't say anything anymore.. Used to be good. Now it keeps saying "Epsxe isn't responding" WHILE I'm playing a game. Tap "wait" but the message keeps popping up every few seconds. Uninstalled, re-installed, cleared cache, cleared data, nothing works. Downloaded FPse instead, works great.. This app has over exceeded my expectations. I've used ePSXe on my computer and thought I'd try the mobile version for some on the go gaming, and wow does this thing run everything you throw at it super well. Little to no lag, visuals appearing as they should, sound working with no interference, Bluetooth controller support (using my Nintendo Switch Pro controller with it) it does everything I could ask of it. 5 stars all the way!.
Excellent experience. Very well put together app. The ui easy to use and navigate, controls are smooth and responsive(xbox one elite). Great way to enjoy a little nostalgia.. The codes for gran Turismo 2 do not work and I can't figure out how to make a new file in the location described online, I'm very new to it and I bought this to play GT2 along with eagle one, the cheat codes downloaded, but do not work, I tried manually doing it but can't figure it out, I'll happily change my review if I could get some feedback on this, other than that, love the concept, love a few PS1 games, it's too much of a hassle and time with GT2 without money.. Very good only nitpick is having to download a separate ePSXe app to help with graphics. Getting a ROM & BIOS separately is normal but why have a separate app to compliment it when it should just be part of the main app?. Still my favorite PS1 emulator. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The PC version might be outdated, but it works great on Android. Hell, the reason I installed it on my phone is because Duckstation and RetroArch were giving me so many problems on PC. This works better than any PC PS1 emulator I've ever used!.
Update: Fast Opengl plugin no longer works after the update. What happened? Hope it gets fixed. Love the app. It's just that, it's lacking some aspect ratio flexibility. I wish the developers can add the option to customize aspect ratio. If they do that, this app will be the perfect ps1 emulator in my opinion. Edit: Wooow! What can I say?! The app is now perfect! I wasn't expecting this to be updated. Thanks to the devs! Continue the awesome work with this emulator. Giving it now 10 stars man!. Best emulator for PS1! Plays all my ROMS, easy settings with good options to tweak to your preferences. Play exclusively with Backbone, seamlessly. Highly recommended!. I am very happy with this outcome you have a really good job, EXTREMELY HAPPY!!! However, there are some things that need fixing, the warning isn't explained well, I ended up making a mistake and couldn't find my default memory card with several hours of gameplay on it! My only option was to uninstall and reinstall to get the default setting back! In the end, the warning labels are a bit too ambiguous for me. Maybe a tiny tutorial readme telling how the files work or where they are stored please. Absolutely fantastic, runs everything perfectly.had this app for a while and haven't regretted it for one second.top notch.
Perfect. Its like having a psx in the form of a large game boy. Had a few minor troubles at first, but I figured them out myself before support reached back with a simple explanation of how to solve my issues. 100% better than emulators from 15-20 years ago.. Great emu app. Easy to work with, easy to get games to install and run. I haven't had much issue. My only real complaint is that, at least as far as I can tell, you can only have 15 games installed to your library. Why? It's the PS1. There's like seven quintillion titles available, 10% classic. Addendum: It appears the app actually just bricks and doesn't let you add ANY more games whenever it feels like. First time was 15, but after unintalling and reinstalling it was 7, then 6, then 8. Tf?.
