I'm currently waiting on Scopely to help me retrieve my account, but this game is still a great game to play.. 2024 review. Scopely promised us a better new year, with quality above quantity. So they have not fulfilled their promises, we still need to dedicate hours and hours of game time to even compete. No bugs have been fixed, old content is still sucking our life away. They have made 100s of millions from this game and still cannot, or do not want to, fix it. A player 20 levels above can wipe you away, leading to bullying. No response from them on any of these issues. Stay away.. Update: It still should be called Star Trek Mining Command! But now there are just too many tasks to do every day and is a big time drain for a mobile game. Also, packs are still mostly $100 and 4 star ships cost $300 for the level 41 and 42 ships.. Horrible! Nothing but lag and glitches, and it just gets worse with every "update". The game encourages and rewards players for engaging in the worst of human behavior. Purchases will run you $50-$100 each. If you truly love Star Trek, keep looking.. When it's not glitching and full of bugs it's good. When notifications used to work on android devices it was even better. But being told 'it's a known issue' for 6 months is just rubbish..
Game developers have really screwed over old/first server players. The game is great for content but very poor for lag, bugs (some have been there for months, years). New content always being released and same problems occuring and getting worse. It would be great if a more professional game developer taken over and spent more time on quality over quantity.. Honestly, I'm enjoying the game so far, although I'm subtracting a star because as one of the only people who actually quite enjoyed "Star Trek: Enterprise" I wish the characters from that show were a part of the game! Namely Captain Archer, Doctor Phlox, Trip and T'Pol! Maybe some of the Xindi leaders or the time travel guy who shows up periodically kinda like that shows version of Q too. Edit: Well I'll be damned, they did it! Changing my review to 5 stars!. The game has changed in the year I've been playing. Too many Bugs that don't get fixed even from years ago. Also STFC is becoming very expensive, more than most games and definitely becoming a pay to win game these days. The Support is very very slow on sorting out problems etc. My old rating is below What can I say..... I'm hooked I enjoy the game.... Patience is the Key..... Definitely recommend any Star Trek fans out there to try it and even if you just want 2 have fun. . Greedy .. right off the bat $100 for one component and another $100 for another...money hole... No worries I simply deleted the game... I am not the only one who has complaints on this...is beginning play bad idea to throw $100 at new players or anyone for that matter. Big cash grab and the speed they make the money spent on the game worthless with new content for more money is mind boggling.. I have been playing this game for 3 years and it's always has been a little glitchy but lately it has almost become unplayable because of lag time and crashes. I hope they will stop expanding the game for a while and spend much more time fixing the problems. Other than that it's a fantastic game. Highly addictive to trekies like me. Live long and prosper. Very realistic! But you do need a modern phone As it uses a lot of data which is to be expected for the 3D images and real like space wars. The game is so unbalanced and higher level players can just take all your resources and make it unfun for you. It's awful.. This game has been ruined by terrible reliability. Currently, it will not run reliably on any handheld device and it even crashes now on PC. In game, this means that the game regularly (every 5-10 mins) crashes, causing ships to be destroyed and events to be failed. There are continuous updates released, but these focus more on introducing more options for spending money, not actually addressing the errors. Error logs issued to Scopely rarely receive a response. Don't spend your money.. Where do I start? Download game, used the transfer token to go to another server and they have me listed as an invader. Can't progress, can't join an alliance. Submitted a ticket over 2 days ago and no response from Scopely whatsoever. Most disappointing game that I ever had the misfortune of playing, period. UPDATE - Everything they stated in their response is a lie. None of it is true. Tech support didn't even read my ticket, they tried to fix something that I never complained about..
Atrocious. Soo many bugs, no more notifications. And all Scopely can do is say, thank you for your feedback, our team are on it. Don't really know what that team is doing. You make people spend thousands of pounds, which is not even a AAA game. AAA computer games are mostly 50 without the need to pay to win. Your just money grabbing greedy individuals. Plus your monthly content is awful. Not enough resources to upgrade anything. It does not keep people interested due to the pay to win.. I've been playing this game a while now best part of a year actually, and at first I just thought the game had few bugs and everything will be sorted out on the next update, but it just hasn't this game constantly gets stuck on the processing screen, or you cant zoom out when in a planetary system, or will not load at the very start, is so frustrating, I have keep closing down the game waiting a couple of minutes then reloading, this happens everyday now. The gameplay loop is fun, but the micro-transactions are predatory, and the review system is rigged to only get 5 star reviews. Also once you hit the stage where station PvP is possible, you will frequently be losing extremely large quantities of stored resources. Not worth the time investment, in my mind.. Fun game overall but its so glitchy. If paying on any WiFi I have to open and restart 4-5 times to get it to work. Then you get the crashes and restarts due to more glitching. I use to play years ago and the game was more functional than is currently is..
took so long to load and when it did it said error code 5 and kicked me out and when i went back into it it was so lagy and staticy that i could not play. Game is Broken, they release so much in a little amount of time, starstations notifications still don't notify you when being attacked and this is the main reason I've stopped playing...hope you look at my account seenwhat was purchased and realize wow...maybe we should have fixed this. Not worth it...grind this and that...with a daily here and there and even though most players are 45 to 35...let's up the grind to 70 anyways...smh...I won't change my mind...but you can grind away!. Keep working on improving stability. I get a screen that randomly pops up saying error 5 over and over again until I reset it.. I love Star Trek. I enjoy about 33% of this game. The mission aspect and building ones base are good elements. The PvP element is the worst. No real way for the game to prevent attack from people significantly stronger. Honestly ger rid of the PvP element as Star Trek was more about doing missions with Starfleet, attacking the "Hostiles" would be a Klingon trait, and focusing on the mining/sending personnel on separate missions are more Romulan.. NEEDS WORK STILL! The game would be a lot more fun if there was a searching option for things like ores and gasses as well. It seems you spend a lot of time wandering around the universe looking for materials instead of being able to complete mission. Now the game is so glitchy filled that we can't even play it anymore.
Joke of a game! Notification not working and since I wasn't able to get on all day as I was busy and didn't think to put up a long peace shield I have just logged on to find I've been attacked 99+ times by the same user and has more or less wiped out everything I had collected up! This game is no longer enjoyable, just a chore, taking so long now to build up enough to upgrade unless u spend a fortune!. This game won't install on a Galaxy S22 ULTRA... ALL IT DOES IS heat up my phone until you can barely touch it and my phone puts red exclamation points on the screen!!! What a joke!!! You owe me a new phone star trek... I REALLY GIVE IT NEGATIVE 5 STARS... -. Just booted up the game and not even the opening cutscene can play without stuttering. I'm playing this on an S23 Ultra, for the record.. Dont bother with this game. Contrary to what Scopleys TOS says. The game is designed to encourage harrassment both in game chat and in the games play mechanics so that you get mad and spend $$$ to take out the harassing person. There is no protection of your ships from larger ships that you will never be able to beat. (25k strength vs 1mill + strength). There is no way to stop a single player from taking out your ships 4+ times in one hour (yes, this happened to me several times and unprovoked)..
Last several arcs have been more player focused. Much better game now even for free to play. Also the low spends can even make a big difference in their game play now. Worth it. This game crashes every couple of minutes. It is 100% pay to play. If you don't pay, you can't do much. You will always be at the bottom of the food chain and have no chance at competing in events.. This game is nothing but P2W. As I speak, there's 108+ $99.99 "sales" in this predatory game. I haven't played this game in years, in hopes they would finally slow down and lower their pricing. They've only quadrupled down on their pricing of everything in the game. Response: No you're not. I'm still seeing the same damn bugs I saw when I first played the game. Notifications STILL don't work. The game STILL requires a reboot after an hour of play. Pink blocks from switching maps, etc.. Everything is wildly unbalanced in this game. Once the PvP unlocks you'll have grossly outsized ships crushing you and stealing your resources. You'll accumulate resources faster than you can upgrade. None of this makes me want to spend money. I have been playing for about a week and I'm already losing interest. The interface is a terrible maze of submenus. They give you tons of bonuses but it's all hidden behind circular menus. There are too many add-ons and forms of currency..
For nearly two months Not only is it difficult to stay online getting disconnected but at times you cannot connect because of too many people in line and losing all of your resources cause you can't get on. Will not help nor give refunds. It's a price - customer - profit issue. The more powerful players spend thousands on this game.. Great game. Just that it keeps crashing and freezing ever sec. Also the game want let me sign into my scopely account. STFC is fun to play, can be glitchy ,usually fast to fix and then compensated for inconvenience Unfortunately customer service and scopely refuse to remove blatant racist and nuisance players, from the game ,making the game unplayable at times. SO AVOID DOWNLOADING AT THIS TIME..... so they (STFC) sent me a computer generated response, AND HAVE DONE NOTHING!!!!. Do not waste your time if you dont have at least 100 per month to spend in the store. Its total pay to win. Not to mention game is full of bugs. Avoid at all cost..
Still have not fixed problems. The last two monthly updates have been clusterf*cks. The game freezes often, requiring one to close it out and restart. On Ios version, the new feature, wave defense crashes the game when played. The is more laggy. While I enjoy the game, it is broken and socpley seems more interested trying to sell you more stuff than fixing the game. Ships get stuck in "battle" and are useless. Whenever they add new features, if it is not broken the lag is horrible.. Really long tutorial is annoying. Most people who play mobile games don't need a tutorial and we can figure it out faster on our own. It's boring as hell just only being able to click what the game tells me to click. Then I go through all the hassle of signing up for some scopely account and it said I was supposed to get a reward but then it asks for a code after 5 attempts but no code was every given. I play these games to destress not to get even more stressed out with con artistry. The game is awesome, but it keeps quiting on me within a few minutes of playing or longer and I've gotten error code 5 twice. Error Code 5 is where you uninstall then reinstall the app.. It's sad this doesn't work well trying to play it through Mist play for units. But sadly get few mins in battle few NPC ships for mission recall ship for repair. Hit the button to go in space station to repair ship to hit the spin of death! Trying to load the space station for mins but have to close app and log back in. In the start made account for the newbie gift. Log in through there site nope brings me back to log in again and again!.
Poorly implemented cookie cutter. Same system, grinding, and restrictive play yrt with different graphics and sounds, plus buggy and laggy.. Game is terrible on a pixel 8 pro using full bars of 5G stuck at preparing screen been stuck on the preparing screen for 10 minutes. Decided just to uninstall and move on to something else. Overall this game is fantastic especially if you are a Star Trek fanatic like myself. However everything is relatively confusing, as in it feels like it's not organized like it could be. I keep finding myself for getting where I'm at and what I'm doing having so many tabs open. Also there does not need to be ridiculously premium ships available for free but they're really could be more ship options for beginners. I've actually been around for as long as this game has been around. Been extremely pleased with the progress of our long time veteran players from the first year. We love you all. Would be 5 stars if the game wasn't so laggy and everything is too expensive like really $99.99 and $49.99 is just way too much to spend why not make it cheaper. I've been playing this game for 2 years now... Yes it's very bugged but I somehow managed to get over that. I pay monthly battlepass, officer pass and packs. Never complained about anything until I needed to contact customer support. They accused me of asking stuff for free, they didn't even read the ticket. After that they deleted another ticket. I'm so disappointed in investing my money and time on a company that doesn't care about their customer.. This is the only game I play, I've played it for 5 1/2 year's now. I'm up to level 45 now and getting stronger all the time.. I can play GTA and stream a movie to my laptop simultaneously no problem. I get connection issues playing this pos on its own..

This game is great, what is not so great is all the bugs that often make the game unplayable and the creators refusal to fix them properly!. Thats it, reduced to 1 star. DO NOT start this game unless you intend to spend 100's EVERY MONTH like the whales to MAYBE receive any support. I regretfully introduced a friend to this game who 10 days in and no resolution to a game stopping bug. Not kidding ... TEN DAYS LATER NO RESOLUTION. You've been warned. They refuse to fix this game...constant bugs insane money grab ,super lack of respect to the long term player base. No communication on events..poor launches of new content,,constant failures one after another.. Stay away at all costs! Reload and or crash over 30times a day. Freezing,lag, you name it ttis game has it. And now that the "whales" players with accounts ranging from $10,000 to $500,000 dollars has essentially built this Platform into what it is, "Scopely/Paramount" has implemented mechanics to the game that "forces" those players to spend $100s of dollars a day to repair their ships, many have been forced to quit. Predatory gaming at its finest! #fakereviews! Zero Stars. Don't play this game it has lots of problems and is just a farming game. It's really only for P2W players who spend ten of thousands on it. Biggest mistake I made was spending money on this game. Lovely graphics etc, played for a week. Unfortunately there is no freedom to play your way. It is just another grind to level up game and lost interest. My other reason for leaving was my mining ships kept getting destroyed as soon as they had finished mining a node (which can take hours) means if you are a casual player you have little chance of getting anywhere. Classed as strategy game but there is no strategy, the whole game in linear and controlled. Just got bored with lack of freedom..
Yo I just lost so much h power my alien tech on my talla and my ship lost like 20000 power points I have been working like a job on this game building up this power so I can complete missions speending money and then all of a sudden the work the money and the effort I put into this game is gone I'm so mad. Dont bother signing up for this game Q Continuum alliance are bullies...and kill game play....so just move along from this dumper fire. How are your twins hanging in there 8 bet can Jason come over he needs my cresant wrench and to go pee lovely.. A great fandom that's ruined by this cash grab. I played the game intensely for over two years (up to level 54). Instead of fixing issues or improving gameplay and helping people to reach a healthier gaming experience they are only releasing more content, urging you to spend more and more money and investing more and more time. Expect to spend about 4h daily for the daily quests and extra hours for the special events while "edgy" "PvP" kids will try to distract you and ruin your hard work..
Yay, 2024 starts with connection issues! I love the game, but its obvious the devs don't play it or don't care. Time is money in the game and the amount of crashes equates to theft in my opinion.. I honestly wish I could give this game a better rating. There's definitely some fun aspects to the game, but the competitive scene is won with $$$. Releasing content without fixing old content is disappointing. Also content not being tested is also frustrating for users.. The Game has not improved. I do research and my ships are very noticeably weaker. I try to get this fixed and to no avail. I suspect Scopely is deliberate in its actions of making sure my game play is inert while others are working just fine. Ships are slower and weaker. No explanation of why. Research is good for my level. Just dont get what is advertised. Glad I am recording everything.. As of 12/31/2023 - I do not think the developers play their own game. First, the chests for 1 hour, 4 hour, and 24 hour are extremely underwhelming. Lvl's 1 - 5 they are helpful, but they do not scale. Being lvl 18 currently it's almost a waste of time to go to the menu and click to accept as you get almost nothing for them. Additionally, If you are new coming to this game, just know that it is definitely a gamble system. Also, purchasable packs are priced between $10 and $99. Expensive AF.
Absolutely the worst support system ever. The game is buggy and that stinks. But the bigger issue with scopely is their horrible player support system and issue resolution. Prepare to wait without response for DAYS. I am currently six days into waiting to fix a profile/account issue and the problem has actually gotten worse since I reported it and sought help..
