Sci-fi strategy with roguelike elements. A mobile toy for Android devices, which is a strategy in a space setting with roguelike elements, in which you have to control a space station.
Battlevoid: First Contact and start the gameplay. As you already understood, after the launch, an orbital station will be issued under your responsibility, which you will have to learn how to manage. Everything would be fine, but the station was attacked by aliens. Alien creatures are actively attacking the station, sparing no effort and ammunition. You need to ensure the protection of the station with all the forces and resources that will be available to you for this. The game uses tower defense mechanics.
You will have different types of defensive towers at your disposal, which you need to place in certain places in order to repel the attack of the aliens. You can also use various weapons and other tools that will help you deal effectively with the aliens. This station is very important for humanity because it is the last line of defense. If the aliens destroy the station, then nothing will stop them from getting to the Earth and destroying humanity. So do your best to protect people. Not bad for a tower defense, with various weapon turrets, fighters, boarders and battleships to summon to protect your base. Very varied and allows for different playstyles. However the research for new tech is a slog, with fustrating RNG that can make or break a run. And the difficulty is very unbalanced even for easy, to which for some levels, you are forced to a certain playstyle. If you dont mind the sometimes unfair difficulty, this game makes for a great space tower defense game.. Fun but need improvement. Tech upgrades in game inconsistent. Should have a flow in weapons and shield development. Bolster/Gatling fire AI too slow.-Always missing. Turrets almost usless. Fighters equipped with missiles fire too close to target end up being shot. Why don't fighters have gatling too when available?! UPDATE:01/13/16 Fighters are not engaging in defense well. Enemy fighters get too close and my fighters just get blown away. :( Update:Purchase will not restore!!. Good game, like it, played it loads, does have improvements that could be made, like the research could be a bit less random, maybe tell the research what you would like to do, like whether you would like new weapons or improvements for the ones youve got, that kind of thing. Also i bought the other levels ages ago, since then I've switched phones and now I can't get the other levels back, can't repurchase them as Google says I already own them, but the game won't restore the purchase either....
One of the best games of all time... And I have played an f'ing lot of games. Wonderful, amazing action, replayability is off the charts, what an explicative-jerking fantastic experience! The best thing that Bug Byte has made, in my humble opinion.. Gameplay restriction at its best, the absolute randomness factor is more onnthe painful side rather than exciting one, i cannot survive long enough to enjoy the game or research something that would satisfy me playing the game, also i don't like how they implement the idea of 1 level demo in this age of freemium so yup... not gonna put my money in it.
This game and the other Battlevoid games are long time favourites of mine. When I got a new phone it was one of the first games to redownload but I had an issue with the in game purchase, I had already bought it but I couldn't restore my purchase. A quick email to bugbyte followed with a prompt reply solved my problem. Excellent customer service, thanks bugbyte!. This is probably one of the best space strategy game I have ever played, but it is extremely hard even on easy mode, I am still figuring out when to use different guns on ships or to use evasive things etc. It is hard for new to figure out a strategy..
These guys' games are fantastic. What we always wished mobile gaming was: Actual games, no bs energy/currency, no ads, very reasonable one-time prices. Plus they have terrific customer support. And the games are incredibly fun! What more could you ask for?. They stopped development of all their games, no problem with that, they give me years of fun. I just can't forgive them for making this game impossible as "partying gift" in their last update, it's ridiculously hard now, even on "easy"..
Good, but like the classic version, it requires the player to pay in order to access other levels, which is pretty fair, BUT the endless mode should at least he unlockable by winning the non-endless mode of level 1. That at least. Earning with your game is fair and just, but grant us the endless mode for free. :( Applies to First contact, and Classic. Other than that, it's superb and great.. I don't like it as much as the other Battlevoid games - basically the luck of getting the right science advances determines if you will win a level of not. The first waves of every level are repetitive and relatively boring, especially if you play through them for the umpteenth time. I just finished the last level on normal difficulty and probably won't come back to this game. Harbinger and Sector Siege have a much higher replay value..
If it was possible to choose what to research this game would be good and would involve skill but it is purely luck based if u get the laser early u will last longer if u get the missile u cant afford it in time to help much. Great concept and honestly would be 5 stars if there was an unlimited mode for the unpaid version of the app, the mechanics in the game are a surprise despite so many complaining about 'how complex' it is it was more interesting to see each ships design and the hit and run tactics you could use to beat ships that would normally be able to tank your small arms fire, can't wait to see what more comes from these Devs and can't wait to perhaps buy the game..
Like this, but it's extremely hard, and becomes really easy once you figure the way to do it, problem here is that means there's pretty much a single way to play against each enemy type, and if you play your way you will lose every time. This unfortunately means it can be boring. The newer versions are better.. It's pretty hard at first but once you know the right tactics , you'll be able to proceed smoothly through the levels. Though I must say, this game ain't really newbie friendly. Also I encountered a bug where the battleship is almost as fast as the fighter and I can't summon more fleet ships because of it. Overall experience, it is fun. Would play again .
I realy like the game and its fun but im giving 1 star because i cant play every level and there are 0 free space at start endless mode is not available i cant buy anything because i cant use my credit card at all it doesnt work can you make the entirely free please because i will be 30 when i can buy anything on my devices.. Deeply frustrating. Research unlocks random upgrades and you'll be able to buy maybe two of them before the boss wave. They're the wrong upgrades and you die. Rinse and repeat. Guns don't lead their target so all the slow turrets are worthless..
It's a really good and strategic game, though it would be better if you had more space to build in. Other than that, it's a really really good Game, I suggest that you should download it if you're having doubts. Progression is imbalanced. There is a huge leap in difficulty to go from nearby systems to further systems, and no good progressive experience in between. Other than that, the game is really fun. This is my favorite type of RPG and it has a lot of potential..
its complexity has its ups and downs but im most annoyed by the choice of a crew, differentiating from the classic i can see this working in more ways than one, but the overall management of more things than one, as adding specifications to which crew members go where can be as realistic as it is, takes the fun out of it, made me lose interest usually for its consistent lingering and lack of proper depth and info, same issue with the classic, lacks a good tutorial.. Well done. I get much further if I have fighters playing offense. Swarms of them. Level 56 is my best on the 1st Alien horde. The expansion is nice. Mixes things up, change of strategy. Plasma is a game changer. I can't put this game down, damn you I have responsibilities. .
The game is unbalanced for me. The wave timer is to fast and you don't even get a chance to prepare if you are a new player. Not to mention there were no tutorial either, took me several play before I finally understand few of them. My point is, the wave is to fast. I suggest that we player can choose to activate the wave on our own or at least make it longer. Maybe if the wave os longer, we player might enjoy it.. first free episode is super easy to get you in. Once you buy the remaining levels, even at easy, it plays as normal difficulty. Good game though. 3rd episode was easier than the 2nd. it's a challenge for sure. you have to adapt your strategy to each race of aliens. still, I like that you pay out right for the game and there are no pay to win extras. people complaining about having to pay, it's less than 10 bucks to buy the whole game out right. in the pay to win games you have to put outwaymore.
Yo... I am such a cheapskate that I feel ashamed, right now. I have waited a little over two years debating if I should buy this game or not. And now it is free... I apologize -- and I am still going to download. If I like what it is about: I promise to make in-app purchases. I will give y'all five stars for making it free.. despite my personal opinion of this game, I support you as developers and have purchased your other games. I think you have a lot of potential for making great games and you should keep it up. every game you've made has been an improvement compared to the last. p.s. the 3 star rating is old AF and I just reinstalled. hoping a new perspective brings a certain light to the simplicity of this game...also, totally what I'm looking to play now as compared to before.
i really like this game however the enemies become too numerous before you can properly gear up and it costs alot to buy a new weapon while you bearly make any money. also the research is random sure its fine but if you do not get the gatline or the missle(?) at the start from reasearch you will probably die soon. also the miniships are useless since they die fast while the reinforcements cost alot but you are broke. so its super hard to play. cant get paste lvl 15 on EASY on the first story(?)..
