It's an ok game but severally lags behind the football and basketball versions. No legend direct so getting ultimate players is extremely hard. It's much harder to win in Showdown and if you do you bare gain ground. It just lacks in several features. Please add the objectives to baseball. It helps keep interest in the game like football and basketball. It's also really hard to get the better players without legend direct. I think you would make more money if players got legends easier.. Baseball Need I say more, emoji baseball need that gender neutral emoji say more. Those weren't rhetorical questions either. But since I'm the only one physically inputting what's been said here on and in this section and device, I feel the need to answer. The word baseball says that it likes the way it represents what Major League Baseball is about. The Emoji says it wishes that it could have been an emoji baseball that got hit so it could have felt like it was being hit like a home run.. It's fun, challenging, and keeps your interest. There are a lot of different things to do to and it brings out the strategic side of you. Being the GM and building the team how you want it to be is so enjoyable..
I play Franchise Hockey so I tried this. It's different than Hockey in some regards which is good. The added medal shop is great. I have issues with the lineups, no control over who starts batting wise even though you set your starters and when you are Changing your lineups, no history. Could be better yes, but enjoyable nonetheless.. I play the Franchise Hockey game & it's quite mind boggling how poor the Baseball platform is in comparison. Stats don't update automatically, when there's an indication of a player being ready to upgrade equipment I need to go through each player & guess which one it is. The equipment stats also wont show which attributes I'm upgrading. When changing pitching order, 50% of the time it will visually reset the order once I confirm to start a game & so many other issues. Frankly this app is a mess.
Server is way too slow for what the game is. Often not able to keep up with itself. Lack of representation from each team in positions. Many team don't have a catcher pitchers or other positions in the game at all, making team challenges impossible. Moments in this one are only worth 4 pts in this game for some reason. No legend direct buy option. Players from showdown or team challenges have low ratings and are not useful once you've played for a while.. Kinda fun little baseball management collector. I've been playing for two weeks and seen pretty good progression. It's typically good for about 10-15 minutes per day, and I haven't put money in, though if you do all of the dailies, you can get plenty of resources. It's a lot harder than the NBA and NFL games. Hope to see continued updates (the updates to NBA and NFL are getting updates and improvements). Edit: while new content are continually produced, it's clear this game lags behind others..
Is it fun to keep losing? even when you train your players to the max, and even max their equipment. The SHOWDOWN draft players should be higher grades than unlimited. Hard to save up to 5000 points. And you should be able to trade players as well. I wish I can give you guys more stars. But hard to keep losing ESPECIALLY to lower level teams. Hardly get metal packs , false advertising . Franchise football you get some metal packs. But game is rigged so you can spend money. Great, except I can't figure out one thing. Under achievements, and strategy, are two strategies called "acquire 150 daily series" and the same at 300. I play all the daily series but it always shows at 10/150. How do I acquire daily series?.
This is the worst of your 4 games... 209 seasons and still can't get into legend packs... my pitcher could be 30 ranks above the opposing pitcher and I'll get blown out but win the next 2 games with worse pitchers. My bonus' could be filled and both batting and pitching be higher than my opponents and I'll lose. Don't waste your time here.. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! Once great game changed to money scam. Myself and others want the original(2010-2015)cbs franchise baseball. I had a better format and easier to play. I wish you would bring it back. The game is ok but takes the playing odds are sometimes not reality. The 2017 game is NOT the same as the original either. Bring back the first version!!!! Now you have to spend lots of money to get anywhere on the game. I'll remove when old game returns..
Makes no since when you play this game to build up your team but when your team is way more powerful then the team u play mostly in showdown and when u have all 3 star bonus and 6 to 7 on skills playing against 2 to 3 skills and am 0-4 against weak teams. No point deleted.. Good game, I play the nba one as well. You need to give more rp for season victories. 10 rp for a winning a series is not enough. You only play 15 series which is 150 potential rp for a season, it should be 5 per win. The game feels like it's missing a few things, needs more depth.
I want to give this game 5 stars. it is a Fun game to play. but it takes to long to get good players and compete. I spent 30$ so far and my team is still trash. Maybe if you offer better rewards so it's easier to level up and get better players. I will reconsider my review. At this rate it will take years to have great players and a great team. Updated 2 stars to 1. It is a pay to win game. I've spent thousands and still not even close to begin to competing.I will never download any cbs games.. This is a great game overall, until I had a lot of problems with getting into a season. Whenever I tried it amediely closed the app. Also it is so hard to get to the store because another button is covering it, so please fix this.
The CBS games are marathons, not sprints. I've been playing NHL for 2 years and and it took me 1.5 before I got my first Ultimate. The ratings of showdown, bundle, and coin purchased players will fluctuate, based on your level at time of purchase. So don't expect to get a 150 player from showdown if your a level 30. My advice is hoard your resources until they can really help. Success comes from resource management, patience, and long term planning.. Love the concept. Great interface except for the close button covering my team's stats when going to select my strategy. Please fix this. Otherwise, the grind is not terrible because there's always something to improve whether it's getting new players, updating their stats or upgrading strats. Would definitely recommend.
Seriously they're app name CBS's gams it's no good when this game is keep loading its frustrations because this I a bad game ridiculously do bad and they should make the game fun and good so mine isn't working so I rate one star please make it fun. There's nothing inherently wrong with this game, it's diverting and occasionally fun. It's just really repetitive, and not terribly deep. You don't even get to watch the players play if you choose, much less see their faces (only shiny jerseys). Compared to MLB GM and Topps, this is 2nd level. Needs a lot more player-to-player interaction and general diversity..
Horrible game.......don't waste your time. The games ratings mean absolutely nothing. Bring back the original CBS franchise baseball game. The original game had a huge following and was so much fun. This version is nothing but a money pit and you still won't win consistently.. The user interface for this game is garbage. A lackluster tutorial and no way to figure out basics, such as changing a rotation. Do it wrong? Your players are lost and no way to find them. I swapped out a pitcher and he no longer exists for me to play, though supposedly he is on an active roster. What an awful game..
fun game, if you're a sports enthusiast. the 1 negative i have is: when you pick training/bonus cards, you then have to go through an "opening" process. its a little thing, but why...? i just picked a pack. why make me open it too? i think leveling up us quite hard too.. It's a great baseball game. Lots of good players. I am tired of being cheated out of games, coins cash and legendary players. The last season i missed going to season nine by one loss. That tells me this game is rigged. No wonder i uninstall games because i don't like unfair play at all. Please change your standards on winning seasons and championships. I was going to buy some real expensve cards for a 1,000 dollars but why so i can continue to be frustrated. .
It's a great game and really intensive but can be expensive if you really want to advance. You can play 100% free but this can be a real tough grind. That said, it is fun and (to me, at least) worth the time and money I spend on it..
