I downloaded because Im a big fan of retro bowl and rb college and have full versions of both. On paper NSB is great, but its too hard to play casually. You have to strain yourself for running and fielding. Not exactly what Im hoping for from a phone game. I purchased gear in the game for $7 thinking it would make the game easier (or playable), but it goes away after 25 games. If it costs that much real world money it should last a few seasons. Now the game is too hard to progress again.. Game could be fun. Fielding and running suck. Upgradin running ability is impossible. Game freezes and buttons don't work. Looking at reviews it's been the same issues for years. Clearly no interest in improving this so don't waste your time.. the game is literally rigged against you in order to make you buy microtransactions in order to even be able to play the full game. this is a sickening game. great design but the monetization and the rigged gameplay and outcomes are the worst I've ever seen in any game.
The game is great! I do feel Luke sometimes the speed and how fast they throw the ball to 1st is annoying but definitely playable. Running the bases to game speed traits is very difficult. The part of it all that looses 2*s is the face the back button is not working properly. Sometimes the next button doesn't either. This is EXTREMELY annoying and is often why I stop playing this game and switch to another. Please fix this SOON!. I love baseball and trying to love this game but it has a HUGE problem. After some time, the game's back and continue buttons don't work no matter how many times you press and the game is stuck for some time before it changes screen. I fear there will come a time when the game completely freezes rendering me unable to continue. I've read many other reviews saying that the game has freezing problems. You would think this would be fixed asap but it hasn't been fixed. 1 star until this is fixed..
The foundation of a great game is there. Pitching and hitting are fun and rewarding, and the campaign feels intriguing. However, the controls on base running and fielding are just.....so bad. The speed (and direction?) of swiping needed is either not humanly possible or extremely counterintuitive. I could never reach the target base. Ever. For this reason I wasn't able to complete a full season. Fruitlessly clawing at my phone screen is not fun.. The game has a good premise, and it is enjoyable with the right amount of ads. However the game freezes in the menu often, as well as sometimes I would have to reinstall the game in order for it to work again, loosing a lot of progress.
Worst controls,ever not only while fielding but also during batting. And there is no way to replenish energy except for using in-game currency which is already hard to come. Also no specific guidelines except for 1 or 2 basic clues when the game starts. I was really enjoying this game, I've always been a fan of New Star Soccer and even though some of these minigames are more difficult (throwing), it still has the same charm that made me like the other game. However, the game freezes in launch every time I open it and when it does launch, the buttons freeze up. Went from being a great game to an immediate uninstall.
Very fun and enjoyable overall. My biggest complaint is the controls during the fielding section and during base running. It is very clunky and doesn't move like how you would expect your character to. I find myself failing those minigames a lot because of the wonky movement. I feel like just tapping or having a control stick would make it a lot better.. Overall great game. Just the Game logic is beyond terrible. I hit as an average 1,2 Homers a game and allow maybe 3 hits a season pitching. I am decent at catching and running. Yet I am benched and score consitently in the 2s and 1s out of 10. What the f***? If that were fixed it would be 5 stars..

The game freezes up constantly where clicking the buttons does nothing and restarting doesn't always fix it. The only way I ever had success with the baserunning controls was by turning my phone upside down and essentially galloping three of my fingers on the screen. The controls for fielding and baserunning are horrible. The game is also quite unforgiving and feels like it is trying to force you to spend money on upgrades that aren't even permanent.. This is by far my favorite game on my phone, it's a quick game, and it's always fun to win, they make it easy to win, and it's not a complicated game at all, it's so much fun and I love that you get to play a lot in the games. The nrg is not too hard to get, and you can stay away for a few hours and come back to full energy. Its a perfect game. Love it..
Could be fun, but fielding is way too hard...catching the ball seems next to impossible. Catch the ball maybe 1 out of 10 times (there's no way to judge where the ball is actually going) and running in on a ball and throwing it to the cut off takes soo much time, you fail every time. The batting is fun, pitching is ok, running is good...but the fielding issues make the game overly rustrating and impact your ability to get a good game rating...wish you could turn it off as an option.. I have really tried to give this game a chance, and it just will not deliver. Good concept, and type of game that I though I would really like. But it's just terrible. Like everyone has said, baserunning and throwing are a joke. Hitting is probably the best part, although the pitches you have to hit are sometimes not even strikes. But that's not my biggest concern. I have gone 4 for 4 with only 1 error in the field, and yet I still lost my team and manager overall. All in all do not download!!!.
The game is okay. Some of the mini games, though, are insanely hard, for instance, the running bases or outfield fielding. No matter how fast you swipe, you just aren't fast enough or just barely make it, and when you field, the ball goes so far away that it's impossible to get it in time. It's fun, but once you get benched, your done there's no coming back. The other team will have 15 runs before you even get in the game so you just lose over and over again. Fix this and make it so we can shut off hints and tips. I don't need to go threw it my 10th time starting over!.
The game is really fun and I love it! But at the beginning, you run really slow, and when you don't run to the second base even tho you would be out by a mile and the game description says weather what base is easy to make or difficult to get to. And you can't get there. The fans say that you didn't hustle. Overall, it's a very fun game.. This game has some decent potential but it is not in a good place right now. The game punishes you too much for making mistakes. In my current game, the punishment have been so harsh that my character is not allowed to play most games so there is little chance of improving. Fielding is difficult as you need to execute running and throwing to near perfection or you fail. Batting is okay but this game's idea of improvement is to slow down the ball mid flight which screws up timing. Bad design..
I got this game to learn about baseball and how it's played, but apparently, I'm absolutely terrible at it The concept is different from all the others, so I'm definitely going to keep it. Besides, as a gamer, I don't quit when a game seems impossible to play. It just makes me want to learn and get better at it . Terrible game. I can tell why this is a 3.8, this monstrosity has the worst batting aim i have ever seen I legit maxed out my batting to 140 and weak teams are throwing balls at full speed making it impossible to even get a double, fix the useless effect of the batting training cuz it took me long to get 140.
I've had blast with this game super casual and easy but one day everything sped up like it was on triple speed in game making it impossible for me to make contact or catch the ball. I tried making a new player to see if it was the league I was In and this is still happening hoping for a fix soon besides this tho I really do enjoy it. I hate it now..for some reason the pace of the game 300 mph and it won't come out of that..tried contacting support which is straight but it sends you to NO ONE..I had to change my review from to hate..CAN YOU FIX THIS??.
