Updated previous negative review because the support team helped get my problem fixed. This is a solid game for a Star Trek fan, it's fun to collect all the different characters as crew members and level them. Many of them don't have voice clips when selected, which I think is a shame, because it's a good feature for the characters its used for. This is one of those rare mobile games I found myself willing to actively invest in. The key factor is replayability. With a robust campaign and a variety of options to complete them you can come back again and again and have a different experience each time. The devs are actively involved in the quality and upkeep of the servers. Impressive work devs. Keep it up. . The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. This app isa trekkie's nocturnal emission. many ways to mess around. it's a bit easier to unlock ships now. we have to $ vip points? not logical..
Loving this game,playedfor a while now however there's a big problem with cadet missions. I waste merits bringing back frozen crew. I choose the right trait and rarity but they are not available. Is this a flaw or fixed to not complete cadet missions?. I can't complete them and it's annoying. There not enough crew spaces to bring everyone back and hope!. Best game I have ever played. Fun game design. Many tasks. Lovely community and the support team is the cherry on top. The recent update caught me of guard. I thought this would be fun. Then other games advertised it, these auto open an install page. You click on close it wants to redirect you to another page. You close them. Go back to original game and click on the x to close. It repeats the process. After 3 or 4 times it lets you go back to the game you were playing. As I said I wanted to try this. But with the deceptive way they try and force people on to their page leave a very bad taste. Scum.. I've enjoyed this game since before it's second anniversary. I believe the game has improved with almost every change that has been made in it. The only change I didn't care for was when the voyage rewards were revamped. After that, it was much more difficult for players like myself to accumulate enough chronitons to make a good showing in skirmish events. But, I've gotten used to it by now. Like every other time, they fail at making a good Star Trek game. I think this might be the worst. I felt like I was playing an old text PC game. Save you time and give this one a miss. Maybe the next Star Trek game will be worthy.. Simple to understand strategy game very in depth to all star trek media and absolutely amazing customer support team by far this game has been enjoyable, interesting and I vents and updates keep it going worth a try for you trekkers Live long and prosper.
Need to throw this out there , This is actually a fun game if your a Trek fan , but beware , all players from the very start to the present all play together , there are no separate leagues for out classed new players. If You start playing you will be crushed for quite a long time.. Still, there has to be any another way to have it made even much more easier to play with then this as it is right now with this here last most recent updates that have been most important & needful to be made!? Amen .
This game will piss you off to no end. Way too much stuff to do, collect & if you think that's not bad enough, you have other factions steering from your miners a well as your base getting hit & taking everything you collected from miners. Other factions like Evil & a few other ones go around steeling other people's stuff because it takes to long to mine stuff & get anywhere. My advice is, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. NOT WORTH IT.. Started to replay this game and the voyage function is absolute nonsense. I get a notification saying that my antimatter is running low, I open the game immediately, and the antimatter is just gone entirely and my voyage has to be abandoned unless I spend premium currency. Just a straight money grab..
Buggy and slow. Play on iPhone/iPad or PC instead. I get crashes after watching ads, and endless loop of "hailing Starfleet" or loading while waiting for space battle to start and transitions. And due to unresponsiveness( have to tap something 2-4 times to go) one can get inadvertent taps on options not seen. Wasted nearly 1000 dilithium as cost and verify never popped up and it completed task. Addendum: I did create support ticket to which resulted in nothing but the wasted time of creating it.. Like game very much. It can be repetitive. One problem with this game I am having is with leveling up bridge past level 10. Somethings in the game take a little bit to figure out. If you like Star Trek you will like this game. It is amazing all the different stars that have been on the shows..
Second review: Amazingly good game. I love it. My only issue is there isn't enough of it. We definitely need more of it. And the Prometheus somehow needs to split. A lot of people dislike that ship, but I think it's a great concept. Anyway, awesome game. Awesome developers.. Absolutely hate this game and the type of people that play to just bully people. I played for hours on end for years then it got too much for my heart after all the hate that frequently attack you then bully you to just stop playing. In my case I contacted not only support that "never, and I mean never" abide by their own set rules, nor do they enforce anything. Discord, discord, discord... what a joke. No the less, it all caused me to spend five days in a hospital over the hatred pushed..
I really love the game, been playing for at least a year now. I'm free to play and feel like I've made a lot of progress and have had some great characters and ships from free events and chance. I'm not aiming to be the best player out there (and as free to play won't ever be), but that doesn't bother me. I enjoy playing casually when it suits me and like building up my characters etc and doing the battles. Good graphics, a must for star trek fans and an enjoyable game. Fab.. The game offers only random chance as ways to get new ships. I HATE the starting ship and yet rather than give me an avenue to get a different one, I now have parts for 20 different ships but won't likely be able to build any of them anytime soon. The game isn't fun. Absolutely stupid design. Also don't give money to woke CBS..
Never finished loading. Was so excited for a star trek game. Guess doesn't work on low wifi. All I get is Q's intro and a long loading line. Never got passed 26percent. Took almost three years to finally play. Happy so far. Still a data pig. This should be on a PlayStation console. The interactive and offline would be huge. If ya do I want a cut one percent. Smile. Game cheats constantly . On missions if you are not over 90% , you have no success . In battle modes you can have a stronger rated ship and you lose in less than 10 seconds . The voyage takes forever , no one has 24 hours to spend on line to play any game . It took almost a week to go 24 hours on voyage and I had 10 years of saved up credit for voyage and was gone . Plus when I updated 5 years ago ,been on this game for 10 , I lost all my crew , which I had most crew from tos , enterprise.
The app works great 95% of the time. What really annoys me is the lack of/ late notifications for Voyages. My pop-up notification for the Voyage comes after it already expires. This has happened more frequently as of late. IDK if this is done intentionally so people buy more Dilithium or not. It is a technical issue at least. And extremely shady at worst. This game you can play without spending money. But more and more microtransaction items seem to be added.. Average game and if you want to progress you'll probably have to spend some cash. Constant barrage of annoying pop ups. Managing your inventory to a maximum of 1000 unique items is tedious. You're supposed to be notified when your voyage is running low on energy but that doesn't happen so you have to spend crystals to revive I.e. they make you spend cash.
This is the only game/app I ever really got into, but I stopped playing a few years ago, so for what it's worth: if you're into both star trek & the casino-style format all these games operate by, you'll probably enjoy it. Game was fun and while I can't speak to their customer service now, I always found them to be pretty fair. That said, actually competing involves crazy investments of $ and time - waking up at 3AM to send out shuttles and such. Enjoyable but unsustainable without disposable $. I will give 3 stars , like so many games good or bad depends on the individual. This is a collection game , collect ships , collect crew that seems to be the primary objective. Unfortunately if your like myself , often most of what is offered you dont really care about , and the game loses Lustre very quickly. Still not bad to Pluck around with every so often , and might be worth a try for someone who likes startrek..
My experience is that at one time I would have recommended this game with high honors but after seeing what I just saw after not playing thr game for over a couple years and seeing I have been permanently banned for what reason I don't know makes me think that if I could give a -5 review I would. I've played this since the beginning & used to love the game, now it's more frustrating than enjoyable. The continuum glitch wiped a chunk of my progress & the only solution offered by the WR Devs was compensation without restoration of progress. DB & TP did a much better job in that they not only compensated for the inconvenience, they also fixed the issue. Why should I be forced to spend MY time & resources to redo missions that had previously been 100% 6yrs ago? Not to forget the $ Ive spent.
I have played this game since it came out. The game requires time and patience to play. it takes time to get ships and crew and collect resources. If you are looking to advance quickly it will cost you some $. Overall I don't find that I need to spend a lot but the Dilithium card (in-game currency) is a must. They have some problems with glitches and game features but, the support team is fantastic and helps get things fixed quickly . All in all a great game in my opinion. LLAP. Well, I selected a character from a behold, the game encountered an error, now I can't even sign in the game. The web store is a joke. Everytime I try to buy an item it says unable to process request..
It's just not a good game. You make selections, and use pay-to-win to make better selections. Everything is pretty autonomous outside of that. The same characters have 5+ variants because there isn't enough depth in the game for just 1. The ships have levels, which you need to collect multiple of the same ship to upgrade. All of this, is of course, locked behind a costly gacha system. There are no satisfying victories. The events are so basic, it's the same content as story mode. Don't bother.. Unlike a lot of FTP games that are designed to be unpleasant to play without paying for power-ups, the Timelines game design makes spending money tempting but not necessary to enjoy the game. Kudos to the developers on that. However, I'm taking one star off for excessively slow mechanics for crew improvement/collection, tired voyage dilemmas, badly balanced equipment rewards, and other ongoing community complaints that are never fixed..
A great idea initially well executed, before WRG bought it. Ever since, greed has slowly overtaken every facet of play, until a playthrough that doesn't involve spending at least $100 throughout is an impossibility. You want to be capable of completing the story or doing well in events? Pay for better crew. You have too many characters in your roster that you can't get rid of? Pay for more slots. Want to get those components you need to level your people, pay for more shuttles. This game is dead. The one and only problem that I can see is that the strength numbers don't mean Jack. My numbers are higher yet I still lose in pvp battles. I know the problem, I don't spend money so I can't even defend myself from those who throw their wallet at the game. I can't compete with the wallet warriors so I guess I'll just quit..
While the game is fun, it's also quite frustrating. Constant server issues and bugs. Forget sending in messages about it, you get rude responses from customer service. Always trying to place the blame on it's players. Just a bit of advice...instead of adding new content so you can fill your pockets with our money, TRY FIXING THE PROBLEMS THAT ALREADY EXISTS IN THE GAME.. This has been my favorite mobile game for several years. Updates and new features every so often have kept it fresh. You can advance as far as you want without paying, as long as you're a little patient. (I'm almost to max level. It's a personal challenge for me to get there without paying. Once I get there, I'll probably pay sometimes for added fun.).
A must have for startrek fans. Takes a good year to establish self and then can start hitting high in events. Find a good active fleet and do your daily missions. I recommend buying all 4 shuttle bays as soon as possible. Once immortalised all low level crew they do plenty of giveaways and campaigns to get the legendary crew. Much like Star Trek CCG, but is much easier to learn to play. There are 1200+ characters and 100+ ships from the Star Trek multiverse you can use to complete missions in an all original story with awesome voice acting from the cast of the tv shows!
